Payment Changes in 2026
Please note, Melissa is increasing her rates in 2026. Rates will be $150/ per hour. Please note that this remains under the Professional recommendations for counselling services, to best serve the clients of the Sunshine Coast.
A credit card will also be required when booking. This is to facilitate quick payments and receipts. Credit cards will automatically be charged the 50% cancellation fee, if appointments are cancelled within 24 hours. Please provide as much notice as possible, to support other clients to access a spot!
Direct Billing is continued to be offered to clients with funding through First Nation Health Authority, BC Autism Funding, SAJE Mental Health and Counselling Benefits. Cancellation fees will be charged to the client, not the organisation.
PAYMENT
Payment is due at the end of each session unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Cash, cheque, and credit cards accepted. A credit card will be required for online bookings.
CANCELLATIONS
Please be aware that 24 hours is required to change or cancel a scheduled appointment without being charged. Cancellations fee is 50% of session charge. Charges will automatically be made to the credit card on file.
FUNDING
Private insurance - If you have extended benefits through your work, or through an immediate family member's employer, you may be covered for the services of a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Please contact your insurance company to check.
First Nations Health Authority - if you meet the requirements of the FNHA mental health program, please let me know before we meet. I will assist in getting funding and provide direct billing.
BC Autism Funding - please contact MCFD Autism Support Services regarding funding. Once approved, I can offer direct billing.
